Previous experiences students were able to enjoy have included viewing The Book of Kells, watching a performance by the Royal Shakespeare Company, punting on the River Thames, exploring magnificent castles, visiting literary landmarks and haunts like  Sweny’s Pharmacy in Dublin, and more.

Literature at the Core

A Program Offering of  Great Books Global ForumTM, literature and discussion are at the core of this program. Students take part in seminars, small group discussions, and close readings to explore text and deepen their understanding. Daily seminars are facilitated by our outstanding faculty and encourage students to partake in a deep reading of the text and articulate their thoughts using excerpts from the text as “evidence”. Our methodology of teaching by asking questions dates all the way back to Socrates. The Oxford Writer's Program will also focus on building writing skills, creating original works, and workshopping together, as well as exploring literature.

Great Books Academic Directors are distinguished professors and prize-winning scholars, authors, and educators from top universities.
