On the Campus of: Edinburgh

Returning in Summer 2027! This new program in the Literary Travel Adventures series is anchored at the University of Edinburgh, one of the world’s oldest universities. Founded in 1583, University of Edinburgh is located in the bustling town with dorms at the foot of majestic Arthur’s Seat. Recognized as a leading research university, the University of Edinburgh is the alma mater of David Hume, Robert Louis Stevenson, Charles Darwin, Alexander Graham Bell, and Pippa Middleton.

Great Books students immerse themselves in the pages of unforgettable and exciting literature as we explore the very landscapes that inspired literary legends. Outings may include Edinburgh Castle, Greyfriars Kirkyard, the National Museum, and more exciting literary and historical destinations.
