This new program in the Literary Travel Adventures series is set in magical and historic Verona with a visit to Venice too! In the heart of Northern Italy and world-renowned as the setting of Romeo and Juliet, every stone and every path in the enchanting city of Verona has a story.
9-12 (High School)
Immerse yourself in the birthplace of democracy. Visit the magnificent Parthenon, the Temple of Zeus, the archeological ruins at Kerameikos, and the Agora of Athens. Walk in the footsteps of great philosophers: Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, and Hippocrates. The curriculum will explore the origins of democracy through the lens of these great thinkers.

Great Books Summer Program is thrilled to return to Amherst College for our 23nd year! Amherst is located in western Massachusetts, close to the beautiful Berkshires. Here, on the paths that Emily Dickinson once walked and on the lawns where Robert Frost once taught, Great Books students are guests in a campus rich with literary history.

With majestic California palms and breathtaking views of the Santa Cruz mountains, this 8,000 acre campus is an idyllic setting for a summer of Great Books. Founded in 1885, Stanford has been considered one of the finest and respected universities in the world.

While now a non-sectarian college, Haverford is deeply rooted in the Quaker values of integrity, truth, peace, and equality.
