Great Books will be announcing a new abroad adventure for 2020! We are eternally grateful for our time in the magical Emerald Isle.
Dublin, Ireland
Our one-week program was anchored at Trinity College offers the Great Books experience rich with Irish literature, history, and storytelling.
Academics
The select group of students at Literary Dublin spent the mornings in Shared Inquiry seminars and discussions focused on the works of great Irish writers such as Joyce, Yeats, Swift, Shaw, and Wilde. Students met writers, actors, and playwrights from the contemporary Dublin literary scene. Past guests have included Barry McGovern, Michael James Ford, and Dr. Paul Delaney.
Excursions
To fully experience the history of this literary treasure, we spent the afternoons touring the sites in Dublin and exploring the places that inspired this city's great stories. Excursions includeded Trinity College, a literary walking tour of Dublin, the James Joyce Center, Marsh's Library, and more.
Add Oxford for More Literary Adventure
Our New Campus will be open to students in the Senior Program and will work well as a standalone week or added onto Great Books Oxford for a three-week adventure abroad.
